    Welcome

    The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is an accredited museum operated by the United States Navy that celebrates the 237 years history of the fleet in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. We are located on the second floor of Nauticus in beautiful downtown Norfolk, Virginia.

    The images you see on this site, represent some of the historic events, artifacts, and people that are the focus of HRNM's mission.

    Spring Hours

    The Museum is operating under Spring hours. Tuesday-Saturday, we are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m., and closed on Mondays.

    As always, admission is FREE!

    "You Sank My Battleship!"

    Ever wonder who created the game “Battleship”? Ever want to play Navy video games from your past? Bring your kids out on June 19 at 6 p.m. to HRNM for a fun night playing—and learning about—a variety of different Navy board games and video games. This informal evening will include a game competition (complete with prizes!) and free food for all, provided by the Hampton Roads Naval Historical Foundation.
