WELCOME ABOARD
You'll never forget "Boot Camp!"
Throughout your Navy career you'll remember that this was the most active, most knowledgeable part of it. You'll discuss it with your former "shipmates." Many years from now you'll most likely encounter former Boot Camp buddies; you'll have some laughs over your mutual experiences.
Boot Camp is tough. Not everyone completes the course successfully.
The official name for Boot Camp is Recruit Training. It is designed to convert you from civilian to an apprentice Navyman in a relatively short time. What you learn about the United States Navy, and about yourself, is largely up to you. Competent instructors will do their best to pass their knowledge on to you. You, only you, can make the most of it!
Read on, potential Navyman, and see what's in store.
If you like it, the Navy has this to say:
"Welcome aboard."
