The Haitian Campaign Medal (1915)

The Haitian Campaign Medal (at left in photo) was issued to any officer or enlisted man of the Navy or Marine Corps who served in Haiti during the period of 09 July 1915 to 06 December 1915, or any part of such period; also officers and enlisted men who were attached to vessels mentioned in the following list between the dates opposite each vessel (Navy Department General Order No. 305 of 22 June 1917):

[Historical note: Personnel who qualified for the original Haitian Campaign Medal (1915) and subsequently qualified for the Haitian Campaign Medal, 1919-20 (at right in photo) were not issued the more recent medal. Instead, they received a clasp emblazoned with the dates "1919-1920" for wear on the ribbon of the 1915 medal.]
