Letter of reference, dated |
Navy Yard Philadelphia 3rd June 1833. To the Honorable Secretary of the Navy, and also to any of the officers of the Navy, who maybe associated in service with Mr Curtis, the bearer of this letter. Mr Curtis has served in this yard under my command for the last two years, during which period, he has been called on to perform various duties, in and out of the regular course of his professional employments, and it affords me a singular pleasure, now when Mr Curtis is about to leave us, to testify to the whole of his good conduct during the time above alluded to, and I do therefore confidently recommend him as a worthy man and a good Officer.
