Though one record indicates that Utowana (SP-951) (q.v.) was renamed Victorine, all other sources—both official and unofficial—consistenly refer to her as Utowana throughout her Navy career. Furthermore, the one file that addresses her as Victorine makes no indication as to when the name change occurred.
