Sikis (YTB-539), a large harbor tug, was constructed in 1944 by the Consolidated Shipbuilding Corp. of Morris Heights, N.Y.
Sikis served in the 11th Naval District on the southwestern coast of the United States for her entire career. She was redesignated YTM-539 (medium harbor tug) in February 1962. The service craft was sold for scrap to Cabras Marine Corp. and removed from Navy custody on 24 February 1975.
