The second Paducah (YTB–758) was laid down 5 May 1960 at the Southern Shipbuilding Corp., Slidell, La.; launched 31 August 1960; delivered and placed in service 24 February 1961. Assigned to the 5th Naval District, headquartered at Norfolk, Paducah has provided tug service for ships operating in Virginia waters into 1970.
