Oshkosh (YTB–757) was laid down 23 March 1960 by Southern Shipbuilding Corp., Slidell, La.; launched 29 July 1960; and completed 28 December 1960.
From 1961 into 1970 Oshkosh (YTB–757) served the 5th Naval District, Norfolk, Va.
