LST-1145

 

LST-1145 was laid down on 5 February 1945 at Seneca, III., by the Chicago Bridge & Iron Co.; launched on 7 May 1945; sponsored by Mrs. Helen H. Davis; and placed in reduced commission on 18 May 1945.

 

Decommissioned on 11 June 1945, LST-1145 underwent conversion to a landing craft repair ship, commissioning as Gordius (ARL-36) (q.v.) on 14 September 1945.
