LST-1121

 

LST-1121 was laid down on 25 October 1944 at Seneca, III., by the Chicago Bridge & Iron Co.; launched on 19 January 1945; sponsored by Mrs. Willie Brown; and placed in partial commission on 31 January 1945, Lt. P. P. Wynn, USNR, in command.

 

LST-1121 underwent conversion to a battle damage repair ship and was commissioned as Demeter (ARB-10) (q.v.) on 3 July 1945.
