LST-411 was laid down on 21 September 1942 at Baltimore, Md., by the Bethlehem Fairfield Co.; launched on 9 November 1942; and transferred to the United Kingdom and commissioned on 31 December 1942. LST-411 saw no active service in the United States Navy. The tank landing ship was lost in action on 1 January 1944 and struck from the Navy list on 13 November 1944.
