Very little is known about Bull Dog, and the available data are conflicting. She was purchased in New Orleans, La., in either 1813 or 1814. By 1819, the felucca was operating in the West Indies as part of the American naval force suppressing piracy. That service continued until she was sold, either in 1821 or 1822.
