Atlantic Salvor (BARS-3)Śa salvage ship originally slated for transfer to the United Kingdom under lend leaseŚwas laid down on 2 March 1942 at Napa, Calif., by the Basalt Rock Co. However, prior to launching, she was reallocated to the United States Navy and redesignated ARS-33. The ship was renamed Clamp (q.v.) on 23 September 1942
