No. 7 U.S. Army 24-pounder Howitzer

U.S. Army 24-Pounder Bronze Howitzer: A standard field artillery weapon of the mid-19th century, used by the Confederates to defend Morris Island in Charleston Harbor. When the island's defenders evacuated it after a long siege by Rear Admiral S.P. Lee's naval forces, this piece became a trophy of the Navy's success.
