Field Trip in a Box: Hats Off!

The U.S. Navy is a community, with its sailors working and living much like the people in your community. In this kit, you will find information and images of these officers and enlisted sailors, to learn about what they do through the hats that they wear.

We think that you and your students will find that they do many of the same jobs!

In this lesson, students will view and compare hats worn by both officers and the enlisted, explore communicating with flags, learn a Navy song, and discover the interesting world of the U.S. Navy.
