Documents Available Online from the Operational Archives

 

The Operational Archives has begun scanning selected documents from its collection. These digitized documents are available on the Naval Historical Center's website at no charge or on CD-ROM at a cost of $10.00 per disc. When ordering CDs, please use the Duplication Order Form and note the CD number for the documents you wish to purchase. Documents from different CD-ROMs may not be combined. That is, if the documents you wish to purchase are contained on more than one CD it is necessary to purchase each CD to obtain all of the documents.

All digitized documents are in Adobe's Portable Document Format (pdf) and require Acrobat Reader, available free of charge from the Adobe website. Please be aware that these are large files, frequently 10MB or more. Users connecting to the Internet via modem or having limited bandwidth should expect long download times. In order to reduce download times, lower resolution files may be placed on the website and high-resolution files made available only on CD-ROM.

Unless otherwise indicated, all documents are in the public domain and may be freely printed, copied, and distributed. We ask that you cite the Naval Historical Center website or, in the case of CD-ROMs, the Operational Archives Branch as the source of the document in any distribution.
