The Curator Branch of the NHHC at the Washington Navy Yard has relocated collections deemed to be at "High Risk" to new storage facilities. These facilities are not co-located with the Curator Branch, limiting access. Please take this into account when requesting information with regard to these collections. As principal custodian of the Navy's material heritage, the Curator Branch ensures the proper documentation, care, and preservation of the Navy's historical artifacts, and makes them available to the Navy and to the public in order to develop a better understanding of and fuller support for the Navy.
