Scope and Content Note

This collection contains correspondence relating to Commander in Chief, U.S. Pacific Command (CINCPAC) staff changes and fleet operations in the Western Pacific during the years 1953 and 1954. It also includes a transcript of an interview, "An Evening With Admiral Stump," which took place on 13 November 1967, discussing his experience in combat operations in the Pacific theater during World War II.
