Scope and Content Note

This collection contains the files of a study group established by the Chief of Naval Operations to examine the role of women in the U.S. Navy. The files contain correspondence, memos, reports, messages, and a folder containing historical data. Other materials include numerous newspaper and magazine clippings, and publications relating to women's issues and military policy.
