Scope and Content Note

Thomas Stroder assembled the contents of this collection in a single scrapbook while serving on USS Cincinnati during the later years of World War II. Stroder was an avid collector of memorabilia during his tour of duty, and the collection reflects his interest in travel and sightseeing. His official Navy papers are confined to induction, discharge, training certificates, and a single document from the Bureau of Naval Personnel. Other items include photos of unidentified shipmates and Caribbean area travel spots, brochures, handbills, restaurant menus, and small packets of travel photos.
