Scope and Content Note

This office was concerned with all aspects of the Navy's programs dealing with personnel who became prisoners or who were declared missing during the Vietnam Conflict. Included are lists of POW and MIA personnel, POW debriefs, documentation regarding the POW homecoming in 1973, correspondence with families, casualty reports, legislative studies and actions, studies on the military code of conduct, and related matters.
