Scope and Content Note

This collection of papers focuses on the pre-World War II naval arms limitation treaties. Admiral Roscoe Schuirman was involved in these treaty conferences and collected news reports, documents, and notes relating to conference proceedings. In addition, the collection contains copies of the treaties, the presentation versions for the U.S. Congress and British Parliament, and charts showing the effects on the U.S. and world navies.
