Scope and Content Note

Harvey Sapolsky accumulated these papers for his history of the Polaris missile submarine program, originally sponsored by the Navy's Strategic Systems Project Office, published in 1972 under the title The Polaris System Development. The documents consist of subject files containing correspondence and reports; a series of books, articles, and speeches; and interviews. Use of the interview material is subject to permission from Sapolsky.
