Scope and Content Note
The material, arrangement, and indexing of this collection is the same as for the earlier collection of planning documents. In terms of subject matter, this group documents Navy planning for operations during the post-World War II period, including: combat operations in the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts; many short-of-war incidents; special cruises such as the Latin American training tours, goodwill visits, or Arctic and Antarctic operations; and training exercises. Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, foreign-originated, and unified command documents are also included.
