Scope and Content Note

This collection contains materials relating to the naval career of Captain Philip Osborn and includes an annual report that provided a logistical analysis of Senior German Naval Officer-Bremerhaven, established on 15 January 1946. The monograph by Osborn, A Navy in Limbo: The Ex-German Navy at Bremerhaven, is concerned with the disposition of German military craft and the establishment of Task Group 124-2. Osborn was on the staff of Commander Naval Forces Germany in Bremerhaven from 1945 to 1947.
