Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of maps and charts collected by the Operational Archives. The maps chiefly depict locations in Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnam and Laos, with a smaller number of maps showing China, Japan, the Middle East, and other areas.
The bulk of the collection consists of sheet map series. These maps are grouped by series number, and arranged by sheet number within each series. Areas represented by the series are:
· Vietnam: L7014, L607, C48, D48, E48, C49, D49, E49
· Laos: L7015, D48
· Cambodia/Campuchia/Kampuchea: L607, C48, D48
Following the numbered map series are several other groups of maps. Additional maps of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia can be found in these series, along with composite maps of Southeast Asia. A number of other nations are represented as well, including China, Japan, Greece, New Zealand, the United States, and the Middle East.
Restrictions Note
Due to the size of these maps, photocopying and the use of flatbed scanners will not be permitted. Use of digital cameras, overhead scanners, or other large-format duplication systems will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Maps may not be folded at any time during reference or duplication.
