Scope and Content Note

These records were acquired from a variety of sources and arranged by the Operational Archives. They include translations of key Japanese documents prepared by several different agencies, a small amount of original Japanese material; a collection of 230 microfilm reels of operational records of the Imperial Japanese Navy; and miscellaneous studies, essays, and reports relating to the Japanese Navy. The original records were returned to Japan in 1958.
