Scope and Content Note

This collection is divided into three series. The first series consists of Admiral Royal E. Ingersoll's daily diaries from 1936 to 1944 as well as 1946.

In the second series is information regarding the groundbreaking ceremony for Ingersoll Hall at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. Among the material in this series are a reel-to-reel tape of the ceremony and a transcript.

The third series contains various official correspondence from 1942 to 1944.
