Scope and Content Note
The Papers of Vice Admiral John T. Hayward hold a photocopy of the diary kept by Hayward in 1942 and 1943. The diary contains information about his squadron, including lists of pilots, planes, and enlisted personnel, as well as descriptions of missions and personal impressions of World War II and combat.
