Scope and Content Note

This collection contains speeches, special presentations, and statements relating to naval operations, foreign policy matters, and other subjects. Civilian as well as military personnel are included. Within these records are statements, photos, and reports of Admiral Byrd during his inspection tour of Southern Pacific installations. Other notable personalities include Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, President Lyndon B. Johnson, Rear Admiral Raymond A. Spruance, and other high ranking military and civilian personnel. The collection is arranged alphabetically.
