Scope and Content Note
These papers document Admiral Aurand's career as a staff officer in the Office of Navy Program Planning (1962-1965), Commander Antisubmarine Warfare Group ONE (1965-1967), Director of the Long Range Objectives Group (1967-1969), and as Commander Antisubmarine Warfare Force, Pacific (1969-1972). Papers from Admiral Aurand's service as Naval Aide to President Eisenhower, 1957-1961, were transferred to the Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas.
