Administrative History Appendices
1941-1947

Scope and Content Note

During and immediately following World War II, each major office and command in the Navy prepared an administrative history for the war period. In addition to the histories themselves, many commands submitted documentary appendices. The appendices included copies of key official records, reports, and administrative histories of subordinate commands and offices. A group of related post World War II administrative histories, mostly dating from 1945 to 1948, is included in the Post 1946 Command File.
